The unem­ploy­ment rate for Clark County held steady at 3.7% in September, accord­ing to the September 2021 Preliminary Unemployment Rates report, released this week by the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.

The statewide rate dropped two-tenths of a per­cent, from 3.9% to 3.7%.

Among neigh­bor­ing coun­ties, Mongomery had the high­est rate in September at 4.5%, while Fayette’s 3.3% was the low­est. Bourbon and Madison were slight­ly below Clark, both at 3.5%.
