This poem really has no topic
And I shall try not to be philosophic
I’m certainly not one philanthropic
Though sometimes accused of being myopic
So don’t peruse it with intent microscopic
It may prove to be episodic
With luck, perhaps rhapsodic
Or occasionally even melodic
Venturing off to become hypnotic
Though not so deep as a narcotic
I hope it does not seem psychotic
But it could be marginally neurotic
If you’re hoping for something exotic
Or even more so, mildly erotic
You’re more likely to find it quixotic
And perhaps just a tad idiotic
Try not to think of it as robotic
Just something a trace periodic

And tomfoolery.
